Malayalam beauty Nayantara, who has now replaced bollywood actress Vidya Balan for the project “Mathilukalkkappuram”, has charged a miniscule. It is reported that the actress is acting in this project for just Rs 18 lakhs and that to after the exemption of taxes. It is a fact that Nayantara demands Rs 75 lakhs – Rs 80 lakhs for any film project in Tamil and Telugu.

For Malayalam movies, since the movie making budget is small, the actress used to charge Rs 23 lakhs. But it is now reported that the actress has signed the movie for just Rs 19 lacs. The PR of Nayantara disclosed that, since the movie demanded just 28 days schedule from the actress, her fee is also accordingly poised for the subject.

“Mathilukalkkappuram” will have Mammootty in the lead and will be directed by Prasad. Oscar winner Resul Pookutty will handle the music and Ravi K Chandran will handle the camera work. Playhouse will be producing this project.
